Newly Unveiled Ambassador of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, High Chief Kenneth Uzoigwe has declared that massive and endless support for the National Football Team, Super Eagles, would propel Nigeria to a good outing at both Cameroon 2022 AFCON and the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Chief Uzoigwe who is also president of South East Heritage Foundation and Patron of Ohaneze Ndi’Igbo Lagos was recently unveiled by Nigeria Football Supporters Club Chairman, Reverend Samuel Ikpea and other Exco members in Lagos before heading to Cape verde to cheer the Super Eagles to a 2-1 victory against the “Blue Sharks” in Mindelo, Prai.
The youthful and ever lively Osike 1 of Isuochi, Abia state declared that the total support by members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club was key to that away victory that has taken Nigeria to the top of Group C of the World Cup qualifiers on 6 points.
“Before and when Nigeria was a goal down, the supporters kept drumming, trumpeting and singing. We were praying to God and at the same time reminding the players not to disappoint millions of Nigerians back home and in diaspora. The moment the Eagles leveled up, we increased the tempo of our songs and drummings thereby reminding the players to increase the pressure on the hosts. It was no surprise that they inadvertently scored an own goal thereby guaranteeing maximum points for Nigeria”, began Uzoigwe who poured encomiums on the leadership of the Nigeria football Federation and Nigeria Football supporters club for the smooth organization and mobilization of the Eagles and supporters to and fro cape verde.
Uzoigwe that is MD/CEO of Kelin Heights Hotels and Suites, Surulere, Lagos noted that the supporters club would be vital in Nigeria’s quest for the Nations Cup in Cameroon and World Cup in Qatar next year.
He called on Sports loving groups and individuals to identify with the elite group he sees as the fastest way to attain national unity “for me I am proud to be a member of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club. I am sure that bigger support and encouragement from the Government and sports loving groups will make them our biggest weapon behind the Super Eagles”, he conclude.
