Comedian Gordons to add extra Spark to FIBA Africa Zone Three Academies Tournament

The upcoming FIBA Africa Zone Three Academies Tournament is set to deliver more than just basketball action, as popular Nigerian comedian Godwin Komone better known as Gordons has been announced as a special guest to add excitement and entertainment to the three-day youth event.
Organisers of the maiden tournament which covers countries within Zone Three including Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, Niger Republic, Nigeria, and Togo, say the aim is not only to develop basketball talent, but also to create a fun, inspiring environment for young athletes.
The inclusion of Gordons is intended to underscore the message that there is life beyond the court and to motivate the children through laughter and mentorship.
Speaking on his involvement, Gordons expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m proud to be a part of this event because I appreciate the values basketball instills in young people; discipline, teamwork, and resilience. I’ll be present at the finals to encourage the kids and entertain the audience. This is my own way of contributing to the success of the event.”
The Finals of the tournament will take place at the Dolphins Basketball Court, Onikpètèsi, Ikeja, Lagos.
With a blend of sport and entertainment, the FIBA Africa Zone Three Academies Tournament promises to be a memorable experience for the youth participants and attendees alike.
