Imo State Gubernatorial Hopeful, Akagburuonye raises alarm over assassination attempt

Barrister Success Obioma Akagburuonye, a frontline gubernatorial hopeful in Imo State in 2027 political dispensation has raised serious alarm over plans to assassinate him last Saturday at Imo airport environment and at his Ogbor Uvuru ancestral community in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
Akagburuonye who is the National Coordinator of Hope Rising for Imolites (Olile Anya Di, Maka Odinma Ndi Imo) announced this on Sunday before the congregation of Assemblies of God Church, Ogbor Uvuru in which Mr. Segun Odegbami, (Mathematical Odegbami) one time captain of Nigeria national senior team,Super Eagle was in attendance among host of other dignitaries.
He emphatically pointed accusing fingers at His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of Imo State who he equally accused of making dubious attempts to take his Abuja choice landed properties, which he said is before Court of Appeal, Abuja
Akagburuonye who is a renowned philanthropist and an ambassador in Kingdom investments disclosed that the armed assassin’s were botched by his eagle eyed security operatives through the Grace and Mercy of God.
The revered politician also disclosed that 6 of the assassins were arrested the same Saturday and they are already in the custody of Imo State Police Command with useful confessional statements.
He pointed out that the assassination plot was hatched to be like a politically motivated killing since he was hosting that Saturday on behalf of Aboh Mbaise LGA APC members, council areas in Owerri senatorial zone rotational political sensitization rally ahead of 2027.
The rally however, borders on Imo State Charter of Equity endorsement of the zone producing Governor Hope Uzodimma’s successor as been championed by Owerri Zone Leaders of Thought, Chaired by Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo with Prince Charles Amadi (Shavon) , as the Operational Leader.
He enjoined every person that knows Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, to be wary of him and to leave him alone; saying he Okorocha can never succeed in unjust fight against an innocent man with God’s grace and anointing.
The church was spontaneously astonished hearing the ugly incident as the clergies assembled the congregation for chained Grace and protectional prayers for Akagburuonye and his family. They placed curses on anybody that would seek the downfall of the multi billionaire estate guru.
Reacting, Mr. Samuel Onwuemeodo, the media aide to Owelle Rochas Okorocha felt shocked over the news.
Onwuemeodo emphatically said that he knows Okorocha as a man who cannot be associated with assassination plot not to talk of soiling his hands with blood.
He confirmed been aware of the land feud between his principal and Barr Success Obioma Akagburuonye, to an extent he has intervened with one Rev. Bethel Nwanebu, popularly known as Rev. B but their efforts never yielded reasonable truce.
