Above 50 Football: Oyefeso assures on Nigeria/ Brazil international friendly
The international coordinator of the Above 50 Football tournament, Are Ademola Oyefeso says that there’s no going back in the plans to have an international friendly match between the Above 50 Football national teams of Nigeria and Brazil.
Oyefeso who is based in the United States noted that Brazil, Mexico and the United States are happy with the concept and that the Brazilians are ready and waiting for an official invitation from their Nigerian counterparts for the match
” I can tell you authoritatively that the Samba men of Brazil are eager to come here for the international friendly. I have had fruitful discussion with them and they’re all enthusiastic about coming here to play Nigeria”, he stated.
The international acclaimed artist and music promoter further explained that the President of Nigeria Above 50 Football championship, Ambassador Dr. Olutoke is eager to see the international friendly game happen even as he stated that the players that would form the country’s national team will be selected from the forthcoming Above 50 Football competition slated to kick off in October this year.
” The good news is that our President, Ambassador Dr. Edward Olutoke who also doubles as President of Ikeja Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is passionate about the international friendly match taking place and he’s working hard towards it’s success.
” It’s equally important for me to state that the bulk of our Above 50 Football national team would be selected from the forthcoming championship because we want to have a solid team that can withstand the Brazilians”, he concluded.
