Ex international, Chikelue Iloenyosi is confident the Super Eagles would win their back to back World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.

The Eagles are billed to start the race to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup with the home game today against Liberia at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Iloenyosi while x raying the chances of the Gernot Rohr tutored side said he is convinced the Eagles would get the job done on the field of play.

“I think the Eagles would start well today against Liberia and go all the way to qualify for the World Cup. We ‘ve got the players and the players on their part are rearing to go. The competition for shirt in the team is quite good, so no player wants to relax,” Iloenyosi said.

The ex international who is the founder of 042 Soccer Legends Association was also full of praise for Sports minister Sunday Dare and NFF president Amaju Melvin Pinnick for motivating the Eagles ahead of the all-important World Cup qualifiers.

“The minister Sunday Dare was in the Eagles camp yesterday to fire up the players and I think that was a good one. Amaju himself has done well by brokering new sponsorship deals for the national teams. I think all these would rob off positively on the Eagles as we begin the race to Qatar,” Iloenyosi stated.
