Victor Osihmen’s record at Napoli remains mouthwatering as it’s highly marketable as the embattled Napoli striker passes through a tough phase in his career as the celebrated transfer yo-yos made the media headlines.
The European windows slammed its door on Osihmen’s face so violently that the embattled striker sulked at his missed money-filled opportunities at Saudi side, Al-Ahli.
Chelsea had also hovered around the transfer arena but nothing came out of the interests at the end of the day leaving Osihmen with no chance in sight at Conte’s Napoli. Chelsea had sustained this interest for over two years before this latest one that came to nought.
Back to Napoli and out of Conte’s Napoli, Osihmen got a huge record in the Seria A that is very intimidating, marketable as well as imposing and just nothing short of blasting on and building on this incredible record, will only put a shade on his ingenuity.
Osihmen arrived with a huge price tag and bigger responsibilities: ripping open the lids of club and individual honours and doing what African superstar giants – George Weah and Samuel Eto’O Fils could not do – winning the top scorer’s award, and handing Napoli the title for the first time in 1990.
