NNL Super 8 Play-off: Warri Wolves won’t take anything for granted, says Neville

Chairman of NNL side, Warri Wolves, Neville Ambakaderemo said that his side will not take anything for granted when they confront other teams in the Super 8 Play-off that will determine
eventual champion of the 2024/ 2025 season alongside those to be promoted to the Premier League.

The play- off will hold at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba the Delta State Capital from July 5-12 and Neville believes that playing at home will not give them any advantage even as he stated that they’ll prepare well ahead of the tournament.

“I want to assure our numerous fans that Warri Wolves will not take anything for granted in the play- off. Although we’re playing at home but that does not mean we have to be complacent because all the teams will be well prepared since everyone wants to be promoted to the top flight

” People should also understand that there’s no favouritism in the present NNL and home advantage no longer work in the second tier league and that’s why we must prepare very well ahead of the competition.

Neville believes that with the calibre of players in his team coupled with their performance in Conference B of the regular season, the Seasiders will not only pick one of the promotion tickets but go for the title.

” I have no doubt in my mind that we’re going to perform well at the Play-off judging by the calibre of players in the team and our performance during the regular season in Conference B.

” Right now, we’re well prepared to face any opposition and our target is not only to get promoted to the Premier League but to also be crowned NNL champion”, he concluded.

Osun United, Crown FC, Barau FC, Kunkhalifa FC, Warri Wolves, Doma FC, Yobe Desert Stars and Wikki Tourists have all qualified for the Super 8 Play off to determine the four teams that will be promoted to the Premier League.
