2025/2026 NPFL Season: Owu Sportswear reveal plans to kit three Premiership sides

With the country’s 2025/2026 Premiership season set to kick off on August, 22, 2025, a pioneer kit making company in Nigeria , Owu sportswear, has announced that it will kit three premiership sides this season.
The teams are; Rivers United, Kwara United and Abia Warriors who are all playing continental football.
Disclosing this to the media during an interactive session, Chief Executive Officer of Owu Sportswear, Barrister Tunji Brown explained that the fabrics made of Meshed Jacquard are of the same quality with the ones to be used by Arsenal and Real Madrid this season and are moisture free, body friendly , don’t retain sweet as well as not heavy.
He noted that the company that came into existence in 2007 as a sports marketing firm that believes in research and innovation, is not new in the business as it has kitted 14 NPFL teams, 20 in NNL, 75 in amateur league and over 200 academy teams and will not compromise standard rather, it will continue to produce kits that is comparable to the ones produced in other parts of the world.
“I’m happy to announce that Owu sportswear is going to kit three NPFL teams in the coming season and those teams will use the kits for both the country’s local league and continental football.
“The kits which suits Nigerian weather, will be of the same quality with what Arsenal and Real Madrid will be using in the coming season”, he stressed.
The CEO who explained that the company first kitted Shooting Stars of Ibadan in 2010 expressed happiness that Kwara United and Abia Warriors made history adorning Owu kits just as he announced that Owu sportswear has also kitted some of the country’s national teams.
” It’s a thing of joy that since we first kitted Shooting Stars in 2010, Kwara United for the first time in their history, won the Federation Cup wearing Owu sportswear kits while Abia Warriors for the first time defeated Enyimba FC adorning Owu fabrics
” We have also gone further by kitting some of the national teams like handball, squash and badminton free of charge. We also kitted six premiership teams last season which includes; Lobi Stars, Akwa Utd and Katsina Utd. The company also kitted MFM female basketball team, NPFL All Star team that played in South Africa and Spain as well as teams in Ghana, Benin Republic and Massachusetts in the United States.
Brown also announced that in the next two months, the company will be launching a pick your fabrics programme which is an evolvement process where teams will have opportunity to pick their own fabrics themselves.
Highlight of the event was the introduction of the kits to journalists to enable them have a feel of it and that of Arsenal and Real Madrid which are of the same quality.
