Prestigious Greatklings Continental Suites to host Plateau State Scrabble Association anniversary Championship

The Plateau State Scrabble Association (PSSA) is set to host its anniversary Scrabble Championship.
The event scheduled to take place on Saturday 15th of July 2023 will round off a series of activities marking the second anniversary of the PSSA board’s inauguration.
The one-day event that has the seal of Nigeria Scrabble Federation (NSF) will be holding at the prestigious Greatklings Continental Suites and it’s open to scrabble players from all states of the federation.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Tunji Ayeni, says the Plateau State Scrabble Association (PSSA) is ready to host the Nigerian scrabble family.
Ayeni stated further that it is a single category event open to all categories of players. He used the opportunity to invite players from across the nation to come to Plateau, the Home of Peace and Tourism to enjoy an exciting cocktail of SCRABBLE ON THE ROCKS.
He added that holding a Championship to round off the anniversary events is in keeping with the PSSA board’s commitment to keep competitive scrabble on the State’s scrabble activities every year.
Ayeni restated his Committee’s determination to replicate the successes recorded in earlier events such as the Jos End of Year Retreat in 2021, the Championship Series running all through 2022 and the Veteran’s Tournament also in 2022.
He assured that players on the Plateau are pumped up for the event and are set to defend their turf against any invading wordsmiths from other parts of the country.
He stressed that participants both from within and outside the State are in for a thrilling and equally exciting stay on THE PLATEAU come July 15th.
Details of the prize money for the Championship is yet to be made public.
