2025: WALBOG Motors boss pledges more support to Youth-Oriented Programmes

Olawale Ogunkeyede, a philanthropist and the CEO of WALBOG Motors, has promised to keep helping young people in Oyo State through sports, as he has done in the past but with development-focused projects that will foster creative thinking and increase their ability for entrepreneurship.

Ogunkeyede, who used to be the sponsor of the money-spinning grassroots annual WalBog Motors Football Tournament that is being organized among youth teams in Oyo State, declared this in his New Year statement issued and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

The auto dealer, who is a big supporter of sports in Oyo State, especially boxing and football, said he will be diversifying a bit in the coming year by focusing more on youth-oriented programs, especially in terms of equipping them with the requisite knowledge and skills needed to support the actualisation while giving them a brighter future.

“As we reflect on the past year and look forward to the future, I am filled with optimism and determination. Our youths through sports have proved to be a force to be reckoned with and together, we will continue to push boundaries, break barriers, and achieve greatness,” said the CEO of WalBog Motors.

He added that “I have been supporting professional boxing and grassroots football over the years, and I will continue to do so because I noticed that Oyo State has many talented youths that, if well encouraged, will make Nigeria proud at the world level.

” But sustainable funding mechanisms, community involvement, and robust educational initiatives can unlock the transformative power of sports in fostering holistic youth development across the country, which I noticed is lacking”, he stressed.
