Away teams dazzle in NNL ahead of Christmas and New Year break

By Ifeanyi Eduzor
It was a weekend of champagne football in the NNL as teams go on Christmas and New Year break after six round of matches.
It was a particularly good weekend for the travelling teams with as many as five away victories.
The biggest surprise was probably in Ikenne where Abeokuta Stormers fell 1-2 to Abia Comets who had before now failed to find their rhythm while playing away from home.
In Awka, Coal City continued their fine run away as they beat Edel by a lone goal.
In Lagos, surprise team of the season Madiba performed another ‘madiba magic’ beating 1472 by 3-2, while FC One Rocket fired Israeli made rockets that destroyed the gates built by Gateway in a match that ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors.
