AFCON: ANFPU solidly behind Eagles -Iloenyosi

Chairman, BOT of All Nigeria Football Players Union (ANFPU) Chikelue Iloenyosi has declared that the body is solidly behind the Super Eagles in their quest to do the nation proud at the on going African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
Iloenyosi who doubles as Anambra FA chairman said ANFPU which is the only players union affiliated to the nation’s soccer governing body, NFF is confident Eagles will do the country proud at the on going AFCON.
He stated that the team would overcome the initial setback of playing a draw against Equitorial Guinea by beating hosts Côte d’Ivoire in Thursday’s crucial tie.
“We at ANFPU are solidly behind the Super Eagles. We are here to lend our support to the team and the Ibrahim Gusau led NFF. The NFF is doing a good job, especially in the area of grassroots football development. We are confident with prayers Eagles will make Nigerians happy,” Iloenyosi said.
