Wrestling: PWA set for ‘clash of the Titans’ championship in June

Pro-Wrestling Africa has announced that it’s going to stage the biggest wrestling championship ever witnessed in the country come June this year.

According to the Secretary General of the body, Olusesan Olukoya, the championship tagged ‘ Clash of the Titans’ which will be held in Lagos will attract the best mats men and women from Nigeria and other African countries.

Olukoya further explained that the body which is in charge of all professional wrestling in the continent is organising the championship to showcase the best of African wrestling as well as enable some outstanding champions defend their titles.

” We want to organise this championship not only to draw more attention and support for professional wrestling but to also enable our champions in different weight categories have the opportunity of defending their titles.

” On that day, the current PWA Light heavyweight champion, Mr. Sharp Man
who a week ago successfully defended his title against Zion Lion will also be on parade to again defend the title against a yet to be announced challenger and I promise wrestling fans there won’t be any dull moment at the ‘Clash of the Titans’, he assured.

The wrestling scribe was of the view that his body plan to organise more wrestling championships before the end of this year in order to keep fighters busy as well as make the sports regain it’s lost position as one of the leading sports in the country.
