Grassroots football promoter and ‘Man of the Year ‘ Awardee at the just concluded Paddysco Sports Award, Chuks Michael Udeaja has described the award as one of the best things that has happened to him just as he commended the organisers for being an exceptional football academy.

The ‘Annual Talent Showcase and Award’ ceremony where Udeaja and others were honoured was held Saturday, June, 22, 2024 at the Garden Top Hotels, FESTAC Link Road Amuwo- Odofin, Lagos.

Speaking to journalists shortly after receiving the award, Udeaja noted that although he has received many awards in the past but this particular one is special to him because it came from an exceptional organisation which he has associated with for many years noting that he’s honoured by the recognition.

” I feel very great for this award, my heart is full of joy and it’s a very big honour that was done to me by an organisation that I have associated with for many years

“I have followed Paddysco for many years and I discovered that it’s a very wonderful and exceptional football academy. Some of my children were here before they gained admission into the University and so I have followed their activities over the years and discovered they’re worth associating with.

“They have done very well in sports and that accounted for the calibre of people you saw here who came from all the nooks and crannies of the country to be part of the award nite.

“Paddysco is very good in taking care of the children. They have the passion to handle the kids in terms of sports, humility, character, behaviour and moral attitude and that’s why I chose them for my children.
” I do watch them when they’re training the children and the joy, coordination and perfection they have truly help in moving the children to the next level in football.

Udeaja whose daughter emerged winner of the award pageant, advised people to always engage in one sporting activity or the other to enable them keep fit, burn out calories and stay healthy.

” I have been telling my friends and everybody I come across to, that sports is not only vital but the second medicine to our health. When you engage in sports for at least one hour a day, you will notice the difference in your body system.

” Since I was young, I’ve been playing football and also engaging in track and field event and that’s why in my middle 50’s, I still look young , smart and agile this is because every Saturday, I play football and do little exercise every day.

” So, I will encourage everybody to engage in sports; talk to your body and yourself because there’s a language your body speaks. And when you want to eat, take what your body wants and don’t eat because others are eating”, he cautioned.
