NAPS leading Presidential aspirant commends President Tinubu on increased education budget
Comrade Oyewumi Festus, the leading NAPS Presidential Aspirant has commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the 2025 Budget presented to the 10th National Assembly on the wednesday, 8th December 2024.
The budget tagged Restoration Budget has the sum of 3.5 trillion Naira being budgeted for Education by the administration of Asiwaju’s Bola Tinubu.
“This is a great testament to the passion and love of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the advancement of Education in Nigeria. This milestone act of the President towards Nigeria’s future deserved great commendation from all angles,” Oyewumi noted.
The NAPS Presidential Aspirant however, urged the Federal Ministry of Education to dedicate a huge part of the allocation on Polytechnic Education as it is the backbone of Nigeria’s technological advancement, having known that no nation develops beyond the technology base of such Nation while Technical/Vocational Skills should also be strongly embrace for development.
He further stated Nigeria’s polytechnics have long been the cornerstone of the nation’s technological progress. These institutions play a vital role in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and skilled manpower, driving economic growth and development.
Comrade Oyewumi Festus made this Statement on Friday 20th December, 2024, at Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja during his campaign tour and consultation to the Northern part of the Country. He was received by the Students Union Government President, Miss Oluwadamilola Enimokanyi.
He however, lauded the Government of Kogi State and the Management of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja on Infrastructural Development, prioritization of Staff and Students welfarism, alongside Campus Security focus. He also thanked the Governor, His Excellency Ododo for re-appointing the Rector, Professor Usman Ogbo for a second term.
Like an Oliver twist, Comrade Festus Oyewunmi pleaded for more support to the Students Union Government and the Students Community at large, to strengthen good and effective representation beyond the Campus
