Assuage Spa Backs Newstap/ SWAN Five Star Sports Award

Support for the forthcoming Newstap/ SWAN Five Star Sports Award is increasing with each passing day, with the latest coming from the Chief Executive Officer of Assuage Spa, Dr. Barakat Adebayo
Speaking on the award, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr Barakat Adebayo, a Physical Therapist/ Natural Health Consultant said that the uniqueness of the award is second to none as it’s coming from two reputable organisations and also limited to few individuals who are household names in sports development in the country.
” I have seen so many awards in this country but the uniqueness of this one is what puts it poles ahead of other awards”, began Barakat whose office is situated at the National Institute For Sports ( NIS) Gym Complex, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos and are experts in Wellness, massage and lifestyle.
“The decision of the organisers to select only five individuals whose track records are known in sports and human capital development by many Nigerians is worthy of emulation. They did not just go for any body but those whose records are there for everyone to see and I think the organisers deserve to be commended.
The Newstap/ SWAN Five Star Sports Award is being organised to recognize eminent Nigerians and corporate bodies who have contributed to sports development in the country.
Those to be honoured includes, the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, GTI Assets Management and Trust Limited, a company that has turned around the nation’s premier league, the NPFL, President of Remo Stars, Kunle Soname, Chairman of Benue State Football Association who is also the only founder of two women clubs in Nigeria – Naija Ratels and Benue Queens, Barrister Paul Edeh and the Chief Executive Officer of Africa’s leading stadiums construction outfit, Monimichelle Sports Facilities Limited, Chief Ebi Egbe.
The event comes up on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Bamboo Hall of the prestigious Eko Club, off Bode Thomas Street Surulere, Lagos.
