Adeboye confident of successful ECOWAS African wrestling tournament

Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, said that the 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tournament which began Thursday in Abuja will be a huge success.

Adeboye stayed this, during the opening ceremony of the tournament; saying that everything is in place for successful event.

“It’s going to be a great and memorable tournament because we have put everything in place for a memorable event. We will not only host, but we are hosting to win because we have talented wrestlers that will make us proud in this tournament, “he said.

“Hosting a big event like this, where top African wrestlers converge is good for us, because it will further expose and prepare our athletes for the world stage.
” with what I saw during the preparations for this event, I strongly believe our wrestlers will win a lot of medals and fly the country’s flag high”, he added.
