Ikukuoma’s Foundation Brings Free Medical To Centre Stage At Heartland 2025

The second edition of the Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA) Homecoming/Convention (Heartland 2025) billed to take place from August 14th to 17th, 2025, in Owerri has got a major boost as Ikukuoma, founder of EdithNwosu Healthcare Foundation announced free medical program for members.
The gesture is another testimony to Ikukuoma’s commitment to giving back to the community that nurtured her before coming to the limelight.

According to an official statement made available on the official handle of IMSUAA on August 6th, 2025, the Free Medical Outreach program organized by Ikukuoma will take place on Friday August 15th, 2025 at the IMSU Auditorium from 8am to 12 noon.

The statement which further highlighted the risks of uncontrolled blood sugar levels identified the short and long-term effects of the health challenge.

For the short-term, Hyperglycemia (High Blood Sugar) and Hypoglycemia (Low Blood Sugar) were identified as effects while diabetes, cardiovascular disease, nerve damage, kidney damage, vision problems, and foot damage were noted as long-term effects.

Members of IMSUAA who will be storming Owerri for the Homecoming/Convention will have an opportunity to get free medical Blood Sugar Checks, counseling as well as drugs where necessary in an environment designed for unity, love and sharing of worthwhile moments with medical taking stage.

Since providing free medical outreach to several communities in Cross River, Edo, Delta, Imo, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa and Ondo which accounts for about 25% of Nigeria’s population.

The Heartland 2025 homecoming provides a platform for Ikukuoma to come home and extend her kind gesture with members of her alumni.
