Lagos State Football Association Slams Life Ban On Osondu Martins

The Lagos State Football Association rose from its emergency congress held online August 24, 2025, with the unanimous decision to slam a life ban on the embattled and sacked Badagry Divisional Football Association Chairman, Osondu Martins over a plethora of fraudulent activities, gross misconduct and abuse of office.
The communique it issued after it’s congress and signed by the Secretary of the association, Mrs. Vera Hycient Okechukwu, read thus;
1.The Lagos State Football Association thanks His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his continuous support to football development and growth.
2.The Lagos State Football Association extends its gratitude to the Lagos State Sports Commission for their support for youth and women football development.
3. The Congress places a life ban on Dr. Osondu Martins, the former Chairman of Badagry Divisional Football Association, from engaging on all football activities for engaging in fraud, sexual assault, trafficking in minors and for violating Article 20 sub section 3c, of the 2023 LSFA Statutes as amended.
4. The Congress further imposes an indefinite suspension on all the members of the Badagry Divisional Football Association from all football activities, for violating the above section of the statutes.
5. The Congress approves the appointment of a care taker committee to run the affairs of the Badagry Divisional Football Association, pending a bye-election.
