A board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Timothy Heman Magaji has commended the management of Nigeria National League ( NNL) for the transformation they’ve brought to the second tier league, since coming on board.
He made the commendation at the Abuja FIFA Goal Project after watching the match between City FC and Kada of Kaduna which ended goalless.
Magaji who watched the match alongside NNL Chairman, George Aluo and President of Nigeria Referees Association, Alhaji Sani Zubairu stated that the quality of play and officiating in NNL matches has greatly improved and everybody is happy watching good football in the Most Important League in the country.
“I’m highly impressed with what is happening in NNL. It’s no longer business as usual when home teams win matches at all cost. Now you see teams winning on the road and the match officials doing a near perfect job and I must say congratulations to the board of NNL.”
He charged the George Aluo led board to continue with their good job, noting that Nigerians are happy with the transformation being witnessed in the second tier league which he believes will help in making the country’s league one of the best in the world.
“My advise to the board of NNL is that they must not only consolidate on their successes but must also continue to raise the bar so that Nigerian football can benefit immensely from their good work”, he concluded.
