NNL Docks Bichi First Fc 3 points, fines Gombe United over match disturbances.

Bichi First Football Club of Kano have lost three points and three goals to Adamawa United Football Club, following the decision of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Disciplinary Committee.

The committee deducted the three points from the team following violation of Article 14.8 of the rules and regulations guiding the league in their Match Day 11 encounter against Adamawa United played at Makwada Square Stadium, Numan, Adamawa State on March 9, 2026.

Bichi First refused to continue play after Adamawa scored, protesting the referee’s decision. Bichi First walked to the touchline and didn’t continue play even when the referee waited for 17 minutes and called off the game.

For this violation, NNL further slammed Bichi with a fine of N2,000,000 (Two Million Naira only) for refusing to play against the referees’ decision.

Similarly, NNL imposed a fine of N2,390,000 (Two Million, Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand Naira only) on Gombe United Football Club for encroachment, attempts to hinder streaming of their Match Day 11 against Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu, and damaging gadgets of its streaming partner Sportslight Hub Crew.

Further sanctions against Gombe United include playing their next home game at the Pantami International Stadium in Gombe under strict closed doors.

Both Bichi First FC of Kano and Gombe United have the choice of accepting the NNL Disciplinary Committee’s sanctions or appealing to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
