AFCC Election: Uchenna Eke Unveiled As New Leader

The Alimosho Football Coaches Council (AFCC) has elected new executives with Chairman of Samjason Sports Management and Football Club Limited, Mr. Uchenna Samuel Elendu Eke unveiled as its new Leader to pilot the affairs of the Council for the next four years. Eke and Noah Omotunde emerged as the new AFCCL Leader and Vice Leader respectively unopposed during its recent election held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
The newly elected executives also includes, Samuel Nwanorom Assistant Secretary, Toyin Shoyemi Treasurer, Alfred Unoke, Financial Secretary, Taiwo Eletu, Social Secretary, Samuel Haruna, Protocol Officer and Akeem Aro – PRO.
In his inaugural speech, Eke who holds English FA Level 1 coaching certificate said he won the election because of the trust and belief Alimosho Coaches Council have in him.
He thanked the council for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to take their support for granted.
The UK based football technocrat urged all members of AFCC to support his administration to achieve their objectives and assured that the welfare of the coaches would be his first priority.
Eke said:”On behalf of the new Alimosho Football coaches council executive, I am pledging that we will work harmoniously to take the council to greater heights.
“We will come up with a blueprint on how to develope the technical knowledge of the coaches by sponsoring them to courses and seminars, thereby positively grooming players to their full potentials.The elected officers will not rest on their oars until we achieve our goal.”
Eke, was the pioneer Chairman of Alimosho Football Coaches Council League. Under his tenure, the council groomed players from Alimosho to the NNL, NPFL, CAF Confederation Cup, CAF Champions League, national teams and Europe elite leagues.
Among them are the like of Adams Olamilekan who played AFCCL 2022 for Samjason FC before moving to Remo Stars and national U20 team. Others are Ebube Okere who was spotted by national U17 selectors while starring for Kotech FA, Okechukwu Kalu who featured for Stade de Malian of Mali in CAF Champions League, Ibrahim Oyawoyin from Kedge Sports to Rangers International and CHAN Eagles.
