AFCON 2025 third place match : De Legacy Sports Supporters Club President Congratulates Super Eagles, NFF, NSC on Bronze Medal
President of Legacy Sports Supporters Club, Prince Prince Obiyim Happy Ehiedu has congratulated the Super Eagles for winning the bronze medal at the ongoing 2025 AFCON finals bolding in Morocco.
The Super Eagles Saturday night at the Stade Mohammed V Casablanca defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt by 4-2 penalties to ensure a podium finish at the tournament.
Speaking to our correspondent from Morocco where he led members of his club to cheer the Eagles’ to victory, he described the bronze medal as well deserved nothing that the Super Eagles emerging as the third best team is an indication that they have character and qualities of a champion.
” I want to say a very big congratulations to the Super Eagles for beating Egypt to clinch the bronze medal. Although I would have preferred them lifting the trophy but the most important thing was that they showed character and quality of a champion and I must doff my hat for them
Prince Ehiedu also commended the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, the Director General of the Commission, Hon, Bukola Olopade and the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau for their untiring efforts in making sure that Nigeria had a good outing at the Nations Cup.
” My sincere thanks goes to the Chairman and Director General of the National Sports Commission and the NFF President for all they did to ensure that the Super Eagles represent the country well at the greatest football showpiece on the continent.
” The trio were there for the team and did all withing their powers to ensure that the entire Nigeria contingent were well taken care of and the welfare of the Super Eagles not compromised”, he stated
