Africa Women’s Youth Handball Championships: Nigeria walkover Madagascar

Nigeria’s women U-18 handball team on Sunday walked over Madagascar and awarded 10-0 and 3 points in the ongoing Africa Women’s Youth Handball Championships in Algeria
The walkover was necessitated by the failure of their Indian Ocean Island opponents to honour the match against the Coach John Uzor’s tutored side. This decision according to officials means that Madagascar forfeited the match.
Nigeria is in Group A alongside Angola, Tunisia, Kenya, Benin Republic and Madagascar while Group B consists of hosts Algeria, 5 time champion and defending champion Egypt, Guinea, Burkina Faso and Zambia.
Nigeria will play Benin Republic next.
