Wrestlers celebrate NWB of C media consultant, Olukoya

The wrestling community in the country rolled out the drums to celebrate their media consultant and wrestling magazine publisher, Sesan Olukoya who added a year to his age last week.
Held at the wrestling arena of the National Staium, Surulere, Lagos, the birthday bash attracted many renowned and upcoming mats men who took turns to eulogize the celebrant for his numerous contributions to the growth of professional wrestling not only in Nigeria but the entire African continent.
Speaking at the occasion, Secretary General of Nigeria Wrestling Board of Control (NWB of C) Ralph Nwafor described Olukoya as a fine gentle man who have used his various publications both in local and international newspapers, magazines and journals to draw attention of the wrestling world to the level of the sports in the country.
He reminded him that as he gets older, he should not deviate from his calling of promoting wrestling even as he prayed to the Almighty God to continue to bless him with good health and strength to continue serving the wrestling community.
Also speaking , wrestling guru, Jimmy Palm and Secretary General of Nigeria Pro- Wrestling Federation, Elephando Bassey described Sesan as a worthy wrestling ambassador whose services to the profession will forever be remembered by generations yet unborn just as they charged him to be more committed and dedicated to his course of seeing Nigerian wrestlers be at par with their counterparts from other parts of the world.
In his response at the well attended event, Olukoya commended the fighters for identifying and celebrating with him promising them that he is ever ready to champion their cause through his writings and publications. He spoke of the need for the wrestlers to be united as that’s the only way they can make it in the profession.
