Anambra State Security Outfit, Agunechemba Neutralize Scores of Kidnappers, Recover Ten Cars

Members of Anambra State Security Outfit known as Udogachi/ Agunechemba early Friday morning neutralized scores of known gunmen operating in a camp in Awa community in Orumba North Local Government Area of the State.
Newstap.com.ng gathered that the Operation started at about 5am today and lasted for about four hours and at the end of the operation, scores of criminals were eliminated while some arrests were made. They also recovered ten cars including SUVs.

” They took the criminals by surprise and as early as 5am, the security Outfit surrounded the entry and exit of the forest, making it impossible for the criminals to escape and at the end of the Operation, scores of them were eliminated, some captured alive while about ten cars including SUVs were recovered”, said our source.

Investigation by our correspondent revealed that they normally kidnap their victims and take them to Akpugoeze River in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State and then use a speedboat to transport them to Enugu.

According to report, they initially kidnapped a cabinet member of the traditional ruler of the town, collected millions in ransom and still refused to release the victim.

Meanwhile the ones captured alive are currently being interrogated with efforts being intensified to apprehend other fleeing members of the criminal gang.
