Archery Family/Stakeholders hail Mohammed Baba Abdullahi as Makama of Bassa-Nge
Archery Family and stakeholders worldwide including those in Nigeria are presently hailing President of Nigeria Archery Federation (NAFED), Alhaji Mohammed Baba Abdullahi who has been conferred with the Bassa-Nge Traditional Title of “Makama (Dan’Niya) of Bassa-Nge.
Abdullahi who is also the Deputy Secretary General of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and Vice President Archery Africa in charge of West and Central Africa, was turbaned alongside three others by Alhaji ,(Dr) Abu Ali Mopo 111 Bagadozhi, the traditional ruler of the Bassa-Nge Kingdom on 27 December 2024 at an elaborate and prestigious ceremony held at the Bassa-Nge local government headquarters in Gboloko.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji A.B. Mohammed, former former President of the Traditional Sports Federation of Nigeria and one time Secretary General of Para-Soccer, thanked His Royal Majesty, the Etsu Bassa-Nge and his entire Community for the honour bestowed on him.
He described the traditional title conferment as a call for more work and pledged to continue providing good service to his people.
Meanwhile, President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Gumel who was represented at the Occasion by the 2nd Vice President, Ishiaku Tikon has congratulated his Deputy Secretary General, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, on his traditional title conferment as the Makama Dan’Niya:Niya of Bassa-Nge Kingdom.
