Organisers rate Alhaji Adewale Isa memorial tennis championship high

Organisers of the ongoing 4th edition of the annual Alhaji Adewale Isa memorial tennis championship, have described the quality of play being exhibited by the kids as high even as they express hope that new champions will emerge in this year’s competition.
The tournament tagged “Impacting Lives through Tennis and Education’
served off on Monday August, 28 with more than 200 children from 15 states of the Federation and a club from Oshogbo, Osun State whose ages ranged from 13-16 participating.
Speaking after Day 3 of the tournament, son of Alhaji Isa, Nurudeen said that he’s happy that this year’s entries exceeded that of last year and the tournament level high.
” I’m happy that this year’s entries exceeded that of last year and the tournament moving on smoothly. The level of the competition is equally high and as you can see, some of the games went into third set”, began the United States of America based former tennis player.
“The good thing about this national championship is that it has given the kids opportunity to express themselves as well as a platform to play against each another which will really help in developing their games.
Nurudeen however, said that he’s looking forward to see new champions emerge when the championship come to a close on Saturday even as he expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Tennis Federation for their support
” My expectation is to see new faces playing in the finals because that’ll go a long way to show that the tournament is growing.
” It’s equally important that I commend Nigeria Tennis Federation for their support. I have been talking to the President of the Federation and he’s fully in support of what we’re doing”,he stressed.
Nurudeen who said he would like to be remembered as a kind hearted person who likes to give back to the society, advised the kids to stay out of trouble, be focused, not look back and take their training serious.
