CAF releases 65 match officials list for 2025 CHAN, as only one Nigerian made list

The end to the continuous sidelining of Nigerian match officials for both FIFA and CAF organised competitions seems not to be in sight as only one Nigerian referee, Abdulsalam Kasim Abiola was considered worthy to be included in the list of 65 officials released by the continental football house for 2025 CHAN tournament

Kasim Abiola and 25 others were selected as referees

No Nigerian was deemed fit to be selected among 25 assistant referees and 14 VAR officials for the tournament

Shockingly, referees from Comoros, Eritrea and Mauritius were selected for the tournament

The competition will hold between 1st-28th of February in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda with Super Eagles B as one of the participants
