Calabar Carnival has impact on job creation, infrastructural development, says Senator Enoh

The Honourable Minister of State For Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh said that the annual Calabar Carnival which is in its 20th edition has a profound impact on job creation, income generation, and infrastructure development in Cross River State.

He stated this when he and his family, Saturday participated in Africa’s Largest street party that attracts a plethora of tourists, fun-seekers, and carnival enthusiasts from across the world who come to witness a spectacular showcase of African culture, creativity and entertainment

” Today, I and my family were in Cross River State, our home State to participate in the 2024 edition of Carnival Calabar with the theme “Our Shared Prosperity.”

“Carnival Calabar has a profound impact on job creation, income generation, and infrastructure development in Cross River State and I commend His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his tireless efforts in sustaining the brand”, the Minister said.

Senator Enoh also appealed to the country’s business community to leverage on the opportunities offered by the carnival and invest in the state which he said has a lot of business potentials

This year’s Carnival Calabar attracted participants from 18 states of the country and all the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State who are showcasing their different rich cultural heritage.

The festival which was flagged off on December 26 by the Governor of Cross River State will be rounded up on December 31,2024.
