Chukwu’s burial: Felix Nnamani commends Ex Rangers players, NFF

Enugu State Commissioner For Labour, Dr. Felix Nnamani has commended former players of Rangers International of Enugu for coming out enmass to pay their last respect to late Coach Christian Chukwu.
He stated this at the novelty match between ex- Rangers players and ex-internationals where the likes of Ifeanyi Onyedika, Jimoh Okwudini, Fancy Ewulu, Austin Igweokolo, Louis Igwilo, Azuka Asomugha just to mention a few played to bid Chukwu farewell.
Nnamani who represented Enugu State Governor Dr. Peter Mbah at the novelty match noted that he’s happy that the former Rangers players still maintain cordial relationship many years after quitting football; saying that their action is commendable and should be emulated.
“I must have to commend the former Rangers players for coming out in their numbers to honour one of their own. What they did shows that they’re still one family and I urgent others to emulate them.”
The Commissioner also used the occasion to express the appreciation of the state government to the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) for sending a high powered delegation to the burial of the one time Harambe Stars of Kenya tactician noting that the government and people of Enugu State are happy with the role played by the football house in the burial arrangement.
“It’s equally important that I thank the NFF for sending a high powered delegation led by the Chairman of the Nigeria National League, Mr. George Aluo to pay their last respect to Chukwu. Their action has shown that they have the development of the game of football at heart and we must keep supporting the football house,” he concluded.
