Douye Diri National scrabble championship gets date

Organizers of the annual Gov Douye Diri National Scrabble Championship has announced a date for the competition.
The scrabble meet which enters its second edition is to run from July 15-17.
Chairman of Bayelsa State Scrabble Association, Dan Alabrah disclosed that a star prize of N500,000 awaits the winner of the three-day championship. There will also be special prizes for the best female and student scrabble player.
The championship which would take place at the DSP Alamasiegha banquet hall in Yenagoa would feature participants in the Masters, Veterans, Students, Intermediate and Open categories.
