NBBF inaugurates constitution review, truth and reconciliation committees

The Board of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), has inaugurated an Ad -hoc Committee for the review and amendment of it’s 2019 constitution.
The review and amendment committee is headed by retired legal luminary and former Chief justice of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Ndahi Auta.
Auta, described as a living testimony of hard work, diligence, courage and integrity is expected to bring his over forty years of impeccable career to bear in this task of reviewing and amending the NBBF constitution which is a little over three years old.
Justice Auta who turned 70 in September will work with Dr Lanre Glover a very seasoned and experienced Sports administrator and Nigeria Olympic Games Committee trustee member, Mrs. Hauwa Kulu Akinyemi and Alhaji Honourable Abba Abdulquadir Kaka as members while Barrister Emmanuel Okibe will serve as the secretary of the committee.
newstap.com gathered that all members of the NBBF Congress and all concerned basketball stakeholders are expected to make input and contributions as well as recommendations for the amendment.
Justice Ibrahim Ndahi Auta is also heading the NBBF Truth and Reconciliation Committee. Alhaji Taro Danladi is the Vice Chairman of the Committee which has Peter Njoku as secretary.
The members of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee are; Bishop Benjamin Kwashi, Gen. Abdulahi Maikano, Coach Alabi Adelanwa. Coach Oliver Johnson, Capt. Bala Shagari, Honourable Fibara Fubara Hauwa Kulu Akinyemi and Collins Udoh
The NBBF Ad hoc Committee on Truth and Reconciliation, is to help cement, mediate peace, love and total reconciliation among the contending parties and all concerned basketball stakeholders.
