The date and venue for the 2024 Emmanuel Egbele Annual Scrabble Tournament (EEAST) tagged the “Fourth Dimension ” has been scheduled for next month June 7 and 8 at the prestigious Eko Hotel in Lagos.
The fourth instalment of the magnificent scrabble tournament has been eliciting excitement since the organisers announced the latest edition of the scrabble fiesta.
The EEAST has been recognized for it’s progressive contribution to the development of the mind game through top-notch organizational prowess and forward-looking approach to scrabble.
This uniqueness, according to observers, has been the thrusters which propelled winners to great conquests and hunger for success in the mind game.
After Dokun Esan’s amazing rise from the ashes in the first edition in 2021, winners of the Sophomore and Trilogy editions; Enoch Nwali and Godwin Victor both went ahead to win the African Scrabble Championship (ASC) and the PANASA President’s Cup respectively.
The chief convener of the EEAST, Emmanuel Egbele who made the date and the venue known to the media said everything needed for another remarkable show of top quality world-class competition, will be deployed for the success of the two-day event slated for prestigious Eko Hotel in Lagos.
‘ We are proud to announce the fourth edition of the Emmanuel Egbele Annual Scrabble Tournament, the (EEAST) which we have seen evolved from the first edition in 2021 to the second, The Sophomore in 2022 and then the 2023 which we all called The Trilogy.” he stated.
‘This fourth edition which we refer to as ‘The Fourth Dimension’ is going to be a massive tournament which will be another quality contribution to scrabble development to the South West Zone due to the venue and of course, the country and the world in general.”
