Enugu 2026 LOC: Mbah names Ekweremadu, Owumi, 11 others as members
The Governor of Enugu state, his Excellency , Dr Peter Mbah has Announced the composition of the local organising committee ( LOC) for the 23rd National Sports Festival, Enugu 2026.
The LOC Members, according to the Governor were carefully selected for their competence , excellence and exceptional contributions to the Sport sector.
The Local Organising Committee will be chaired by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Enugu state, Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Jr.
The Committee comprises the following seasoned sports administrators as members ;
1. Bamiduro Olumide
2. Mary Onyali
3. Aku Akazu
4. Victor Okorie
5. Blessing chisalam Ekwe
6. Davidson Owumi
7. Tony Ugwu
8. Henry Chinedu Okorie
9. Jonathan Nnaji
10. Boniface Onovo
11. Ephraim Ochonma
12. Obiora Obasi
The Governor said the state has full confidence in the competence of all the members and their individual and collective qualities to organise and deliver an outstanding National Sports Festival.
The LOC Chairman and Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Jr, has also reaffirmed the state’s commitment to hosting a festival of International standards.
