Ex-NFF Boss Sani Lulu to Grace February ProStar/Sportlight Hub Awards as Special Guest

Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, has been announced as the Special Guest of Honour at the February 2025 edition of the ProStar/Sportlight Hub Monthly Awards, scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The event will take place at the Nigeria National League Secretariat.
Joining him in a show of support will be former Super Eagles star Tijani Babangida, now serving as the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN).
According to Emmanuel Attah, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National League (NNL), which is often regarded as the country’s most important developmental league, the ceremony will kick off at 11 a.m., with awardees expected to be seated before commencement.
“The awards are designed to recognize and encourage excellence across various categories in Nigeria’s second-tier league,” Attah stated. The initiative, launched in December 2024, has gained traction for spotlighting talent and professionalism within the league.
Among the key honorees for the month of February are:
• Anthony Ndubuisi (Madiba FC) – Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Top Scorer
• Austin Ajegbeyi (First Bank FC, Lagos) – MVP of the Month
• Lateef Nurudeen (Igbajo FC, Osun State) – Best Goalkeeper
• Uzorho Obinna (Kun Khalifat FC, Imo State) – Coach of the Month
• Energy Kennedy (Godswill Akpabio United FC, Uyo) – Best Goal of the Month
• Adekoya Warith (Lagos Referee Council) – Best Referee
• First Bank FC, Lagos – Most Disciplined Team
The event promises to be a celebration of talent, fair play, and dedication to the beautiful game, as stakeholders continue to push for excellence in Nigerian football from the grassroots up.
