Excitement As Spires 5-Aside Train Reach Lagos Island

The much anticipated Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament in Lagos Island is set to thrill football fans and spectators with the best blend of sports and entertainment when hostilities get on the way on Sunday 3rd August.
The widely followed grassroots football developmental initiative hosted across the five divisions in Lagos will come to a close with the Lagos Island divisional qualifiers.
According to the organisers, the eight teams tournament will be held in a carnival like atmosphere with music, dance, and other side attractions at The Stables Sports Center, Bode Thomas, Surulere.
With three slots up for grabs in the state championship, the opening day fixtures will present plenty of fireworks in the knockout format. Greater Tomorrow FA will file out against FC Rainbow, Dolphin FC will lock-horns against Odds FC, and Kings FC Ikoyi will square up against Young Strikers football club. The showdown between Uncle Michael FC and White Tigers football club will complete a packed first round of matches.
The top three teams in Lagos Island and the overall best losser will join the other twelve sides from Ikeja, Ikorodu, Epe, and Badagry division, who have secured their place in the state
championship, which kicks-off in October.
