Owerri bubbles for All Seasons football tourney

The city of Owerri, the Imo state capital would come alive from August 9-15 with an eight team invitational football tournament being packaged by ex international Ifeanyi Ekwueme.
Ekwueme in a release made available to newstap.com.ng disclosed that the tournament is being bankrolled by frontline Entertainment guru Evangelist Mike Ikoku who is the CEO of All Seasons hotel Owerri and Mimi Place.
Ekwueme who is the sole African representative of Poland based Sportswear manufacturers Tico/Select said Ikoku, a great football lover wants to use the tournament to empower talented Imo youths who would be discovered during the event.
He further disclosed that the players discovered would form the bulk of a soccer outfit to be floated by Evangelist Ikoku.
“Evangelist Ikoku is floating the All Seasons International Football Club that would be campaigning next season in the Nigeria National League (NNL). Plans have reached advanced stage to get an NNL slot and it would be a club with a difference. Players discovered during the eight team tournament would form the bulk of the team. So, for us the tourney is also serving as a screening exercise,” Ekwueme said.
