Abia Warriors dump Enyimba Stadium for Okigwe

By George Aluo
After a very bad start to the season Abia Warriors are doing everything possible to turn around their league fortunes and one of the immediate steps they have resolved to take is to seek for a new lease of life in neighboring Imo.
Newstap.com.ng reliably gathered that the Umuahia based side would in their next home game play at the Okigwe Township Stadium instead of the Enyimba Stadium, Aba where they played their first two home games.
Warriors, it would be noted have so far lost all their matches home and away. Apparently not ready to allow a continuation of the poor run, the Pastor Emeka Inyama led management of the club issued an ultimatum to the club’s technical crew to win their next three games or be shown the exit door.
Analysts have continued to wonder why Coach Imama Amakapabo and his wards have failed to rise to the occasion despite having a good build up to the season after what could pass for a solid pre season recruitment exercise.
Abia Warriors last weekend fell at home by 1-3 to Jigawa after losing their first three games. They remain the only club yet to secure a point after four weeks of action.
