Founder of African skate ball, Kedron Nkisa on cloud nine about the sports

Founder of African skate ball, Kingsley Kedron Nkisa says that his decision to invent the game is to give African skaters opportunity to exercise themselves and have fun with ball while dressed in their skating shoes.

Kedron who is the President/ Founder of Big Heart Skating Club as well as a board member of Roller Skating Federation of Nigeria, expressed happiness that the game has come to stay and has gained general acceptability few years after it’s introduction; saying that he’s ready to take it to greater heights.

” My decision to invent African skate ball was borne out of the desire to see our athletes express themselves in the game with their skate shoes.
When I first introduced it, a lot of people were sceptical about it’s success but few years down the line, it has become a household name not only in Nigeria but the entire African continent.
” Recently, a Canadian professional skater and Choreographer, Alex Anore Hamel who visited Nigeria was overwhelmed with the game and even participated in it and at the end of his visit, promised to introduce it in Canada and hopefully form a club there which gives me joy and fulfilment.
Kedron, promised that with time, some of the rules of the game will be modified to make it more attractive.
African skate ball involves players dressed in their full skating kits playing the game also known as kings ball. It has two goal posts and goal keepers at the opposing sides.
