G Medix FC, Olympic Hybrid FC Clash In 2025 NLO U-19 Season Opener
The highly anticipated curtain-raiser for the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) U-19 Youth League is set, with a fierce Federal Capital Territory (FCT), ‘Abuja Derby’ between G Medix FC and Olympic Hybrid FC at the Hovel Prime Stadium, Nyanya, Abuja on Friday, August 8, 2025.
This season, NLO U-19 Youth League matches will unfold at 16 different venues nationwide, aiming to provide young football talents a prominent platform to showcase their skills and propel their careers to greater heights.
Football enthusiasts in and around Mopol Junction, Nyanya, Abuja, are encouraged to witness thrilling grassroots football. The match kicks off at 4 PM sharp.
Olushola Ogunnowo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the league, asserts that the Youth League will be an electrifying showcase of grassroots football in Nigeria. The season opener in Abuja will set a precedent for the thrilling encounters expected across the country.
“The NLO Youth League launches on Friday, August 8, in Abuja, featuring G Medix FC against Olympic Hybrid FC. This not only marks the league’s opening game, but we expect nothing less than exciting football in Nyanya,” Ogunnowo declared.
“We demand to see well-organised and competitive matches from all clubs participating in the Youth League. The clubs have adhered to directives from the secretariat, but there remains room for improvement. Any actions that jeopardise the integrity of the game will not be tolerated,” he added.
