Ikorodu Spires 5-Aside Divisional Qualifiers Champions To Emerge On Saturday

Two prolific sides Orion And Leon FC, and New Generation Football Club will lock-horns in the finale of the Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament Divisional Qualifiers in Ikorodu.
Both teams have recorded the highest number of goals in the campaign ahead of a stirring final Showdown.

Emeka bagged a hat-trick, while Chimobi and Morocco both scored a brace as New Generation secured a 7-5 win over Evagrine Football Club in the semi-final on Wednesday. Femi hits a double brace, while Obina also got on the scoresheet for Evagrine who now hope to secure a third place spot. Orion And Leon FC on the other hand showed grit in their 6-3 triumph over Marine Boys Football Club with a hat-trick from Emmanuel while three more goals from Daniel, Seyi and Akin, ensured they fasten their place in Saturday’s finale.

Orion FC, and New Generation Football Club may have secured their tickets for the “16 teams” tournament, but the battle persist for the top prize of N500,000 in the “OGA” division. The both teams will lock-horns in the final on Saturday May 17th at Deeonis Football Court, NITEL, Ota-Ona, Ikorodu.

Marine Boys FC will also square up against Evagrine Football Club in the third place Match. The top three teams will represent the Ikorodu Division in the second edition of the Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tourney.

Aside securing a spot in the group stage of the main tournament, the first placed teams in each of the divisional qualifiers will receive the sum of N500,000, the first runners-up will pocket N300,000, while the third placed side will get the sum of N100,000 as prize money.

Sixteen(16) teams across the five divisions in Lagos will compete in the 2025 Spires 5-Aside Naija Street Soccer Tournament. Three teams will qualify from each division, as well as the overall best loser across board
