I’ve no regret coming to coach Heartland FC—Amuneke

Technical Manager of Heartland Football Club of Owerri, Coach Emmanuel Amuneke has declared that he has no regrets returning home to undertake the coaching job of Heartland.
Amuneke dropped the hint during a post match media interaction with Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Imo State chapter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri last Saturday .
Heartland FC had beaten their rivals, Kano Pillars FC 2-0 in the MatchDay32 NPFL encounter marking the second time the Owerri side is beating the Kano side with the same goal margin under the current season.
His words, “The decision I took in
coming back to Imo, I never regreted it because this is my state. It’s always my pleasure coming to serve my people.”
“What we are trying to do is to creat that stability so that within this and the up coming seasons, the players will exhibit more of their experiences
“Having travelled wide to many countries in the world and coached many clubs both in Nigeria and outside and coming back to one’s own state after many years is not going to be easy for sacrifice.”
On the performance of Heartland FC in the league, Amuneke expressed satisfaction with the Naze Millionaires’ defeat of Kano Pillars pointing out that he will not be deterred by the prevailing challenges.
“I know the difficult time will come but what matters most is your ability to contain the storm whenever it comes.
He noted that his boys played according to plan and defeated Kano Pillers, stressing that the NPFL is becoming a highly competitive league by the day and stated that his team is focused.
Also speaking, scorer of the two goals for the Owerri side, Samuel Agu praised his colleagues for the victory and urged the club’s fans to remain steadfast in their support.
