Japanese Embassy, donate Jerseys to NLO side Iganmu Tiger Fc

As part of it’s efforts to promote intercultural relationship between Japan and Nigeria as well as contribute in grassroots football development in the country , the Japanese Embassy Saturday donated sets of Jerseys to National League One Side, Iganmu Tiger FC.

Making the donation at the club’s house in Iganmu, the Japanese Ambassador to Nigeria, Hideo Suzuki explained that the gesture is in line with the country’s plans of helping talented youths become great footballers, expressing hope that the jerseys will go a long way in helping kids achieve their potentials in the round leather game.

He noted that although the jerseys are for kid players, but he hope it will be useful to the team as they will give it to their younger ones who will find it valuable in their football progress.

” We’re donating these jerseys today as part of our Embassy’s plan to help not only the club but to also build intercultural relationships between our two countries as well as help in grassroots football development in Nigeria.

The Ambassador stated that he’s looking forward to many Nigerian players coming to Japan to participate on the country’s J League which he says offers a lot of opportunities to players to showcase their talents.

” I’m happy that some players of the club are presently playing in J League and I look forward to seeing more of them play in Japan as that will enable them garner more exposure in football”, he concluded.

Receiving the Jerseys, Assistant Coach of the team, Abayomi Ekundina expressed appreciation to the Embassy for the gesture which he says will be put to good use.

He was particularly happy with the relationship that’s existing between the club and the Embassy, describing it as very cordial.
