Argentina 2023: Flying Eagles can get past Brazil, Italy if Bosso gets tactics right -Adeyemi

By George Aluo

Switzerland based Nigerian gaffer, Anthony Adeyemi has declared that the Flying Eagles can get past the group stage of the Argentina 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup if the Ladan Bosso led technical crew get their tactics right.

The Flying Eagles have been drawn into what could pass as the group of death having been drawn against Brazil and Italy in Group D. The other country in the group is Dominican Republic.

Adeyemi while speaking on the draw said both Brazil and Italy are beatable but was quick to add that achieving the herculean task would depend on the technical crew.

“That the team didn’t do well in Morocco at the African level was to a very large extent because of the tactical approach to the games. I want to believe the coaches have learnt from the mistakes made in Morocco. If they have and they get their strategies right against Brazil and Italy, I believe we can get the results we need,” Adeyemi said.

He pointed out that the Flying Eagles at the U 20 AFCON lacked tactical discipline and failed to play as a team.

Adeyemi stressed that one thing going for Flying Eagles in the group is that Brazil and Italy would play each other in the first match of the group, a situation that would afford Bosso the opportunity to know their strength and weaknesses before facing them.
