Nathan Hoy to represent AIWF at the Ododo World Peace and Unity wrestling Championship
Allied Independent Wrestling Federation has announced that Nathan Hoy who runs the Northern Ireland Pro- wrestling based in Belfast, Ireland will represent the world body at the AIWF world middleweight championship fight holding in Lokoja, the Kogi State Capital on December, 13, 2025
Speaking ahead of his nomination, Hoy said ” “I am excited about this timely opportunity to be in Nigeria to officially represent AIWF, as an official and international referee.
“I can say that my coming to Nigeria would bring benefits to me on several levels such as; personal, professional, and organizational. it’s not just about how much, it’s about building a bridge between wrestling cultures and creating growth opportunities on both sides” Nathan explained.
Nathan also explained the benefits for AIWF to include Global Expansion as my presence solidifies AIWF’s influence in Africa, showing we are truly international while the Brand Awareness, such as the AIWF logos, titles, and championships are featured in African media, expanding their reach while partnership deals open doors for future collaborations, training exchanges, and co-promoted shows”.
“On the benefits for Nigerian Wrestling, it makes the event legitimate. Having an international official sanction the fight, makes it more prestigious and credible and on the opportunities level, Nigerian wrestlers (like Aliking) can get scouted for international scouts , bringing fame and income while local wrestling gains coverage in international outlets, putting African talent on the global map”.
“On the benefits for the fans and the wrestling community at large, it will be a history making fight as a home-based wrestler will be fighting for internationally recognized title. Communities gain pride seeing their homegrown talent compete on a world stage while the young aspiring wrestlers get motivated, realizing they could be noticed globally”.
