National Institute for Sports (NIS) rolls out plans for convocation

The Director General of the National Institute for Sports (NIS) Prof Olawale Moronkola has rolled out plans of the institute ahead of her 8th Convocation ceremony billed for next week, Thursday May 25.

Moronkola who spoke at a pre convocation press briefing today disclosed that event would be used to honor some eminent Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the nation’s sports development.

He stated that the decision to organize the convocation ceremony is part of the efforts being made to reposition the institute.

“The situation in the institute is changing for the better. The House of Representatives committee members on Sports were on a visit here recently and they were impressed with what they saw. Our dream of a new NIS is being realized,” Moronkola said.

The convocation ceremony would see a total of 530 students being awarded certificates and diplomas.
