Nigeria dominates ValueJet Lagos World Para Table Tennis Future 2025

It was a case of total dominance for Nigeria as the ValueJet Lagos World Para Table Tennis Future climaxed at the Molade Okoya-Thomas indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun stadium amidst plenty of glitz and glamour.

After four days of intense and high-quality competition, ‘Team Nigeria’ showed superiority in most of the class categories to emerge overall winners with 23 gold medals, 23 silver and 42 bronze medals.

President of the Para Olympics Committee of Nigeria, Sunday Odebode, said successfully hosting the championship in Nigeria is another testament to the intentional focus of the National Sports Commission to create a sustainable sports economy in Nigeria.

” The NSC under the leadership of Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon. Bukola Olopade are making true their objective to make Nigeria a destination for the hosting of international competitions which is good for the growth of our athletes and the development of the country’s infrastructure”.

” We were able to host this competition because the NSC gave us all the financial and moral support that we needed to stage such an international event and I am particularly happy that our Para Table tennis players did not disappoint”.

” We also want to thank the Lagos state Government for their support for making this tournament a reality”.

Nigeria’s dominance at the championship has boosted the country’s chances at featuring at the Para Games coming up in September because it served as the regional qualification.

Countries like Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso, Benin Republic, and Cameroon are all featured in the competition held at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos
