After guiding his team to  a comprehensive 1-5 victory over Stormers FC of Abeokuta, coach of Sporting Lagos, Jeffrey Butler says his team will fight to the end of the season.

He was also quick in commending the match officials against Stormers for a job well done, charging  them to continue with the same mentality.

Sporting Lagos are second in Conference B with 27 points, 5 points behind leaders, Akwa Utd who are on 32 points but Buttler believes that the victory over Stormers has taken a lot of pressure off his team, promising that they’ll not take any thing to chance till the end of the season.

“This win has taken pressure off us but every game is going to be like a final. We came to Abeokuta for the 3 points, we had done our homework.

“Officiating was good and we crave more in our remaining games as the season nears the finish line.

“We’re confident of getting the sole ticket in our group to play in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). This is our target this season. And it’s not over until it’s completely over”.

On their next match against Rovers FC he expressed confidence that his team will grab the three points at stake to put them in a better position to fight for the NPFL ticket.

“Right now, we’ re focusing on our matchday 17 against Rovers of Calabar. We’re going to carry the same mentality that saw us wallop Stormers in Abeokuta to our next home match and everything being equal, we ‘re going to grab the three points at stake,” he sounded confidently.
