NNL Super 8: Wikki Tourists, Barau walk tight rope, end their second game goalless

Both Wikki Tourists and Barau FC have to dig deep in their next Group Games to stand a chance of gaining promotion to the elite league

The two teams from the Northern Conference played out a second goalless draw in the Match Day 2 of the ongoing NNL Super 8, allowing Yobe Desert Stars who earlier in the day recorded a 2-1 victory over Doma FC to occupy the top spot on the Group with 4 points.

In their Match Day 1 encounters,Wikki Tourists played a barren draw with Doma FC while Yobe Dessert Stars also shared points with Barau.
Although the Group is still open but both teams need to work harder to win their last matches to be able to gain promotion to the top flight

However, not minding their positions, coaches of both teams namely; Abdullahi Maikaiba and Rabiu Tata believe that all hope are not yet lost as they’ll make amends in their last matches.

In his remarks, Coach Maikaiba of Wikki Tourists who was visibly angry with the result of the match, expressed hope that their next game will be the deciding factor as they’ll be all out to ensure they grab the three points at stake while his counterpart stating that he’s happy with the result, assuring that his team will not leave anything to chance in their next game
Bearing any unforseen circumstances, Yobe Dessert Stars seems to be in serious advantage in the Group but they need to solidify their position with either a win or draw in their next game.
